Shershaah

The film "Shershaah" is inspired by the life of Captain Vikram Batra and tells his story through a dual role by Sidharth Malhotra as both Vikram Batra and his twin brother Vishal. The film follows Vikram's journey from his childhood, where he establishes a fearless temperament, to his college years, where he balances military ambitions with a budding romance with Dimple Cheema. Vikram joins the Indian Army after clearing the Combined Defence Services Examination and quickly earns the trust of local civilians and subordinates while participating in counter-insurgency operations. The film leads up to the Kargil War of 1999, where Vikram, under the codename "Shershaah," executes a brilliant night assault with Lieutenant Sanjeev Jamwal, successfully reclaiming Point 5140 without casualties, earning national media attention and a promotion to Captain.
