Haruko Aoba (Naomi Nishida) is a single mother living with her son Riku (Uta Yorikawa), her friend Aiko (Aino Kuribayashi), and Aiko's boyfriend Sorao (Shugo Oshinari). When Tomoyo Kunieda (Miwako Ichikawa), Haruko's old friend, asks to keep her daughter Yuko (Aino Kuribayashi) with her for the summer, tensions arise due to their uncomfortable past.
