Heart of Midnight

Jennifer Jason Leigh stars as Carol Rivers, a young woman recovering from her recent breakdown after inheriting a rundown nightclub from her mysterious Uncle Fletcher (Sam Schacht). As she renovates the venue, Carol uncovers dark secrets about the club and her dead relative, including its history as a brothel catering to clients with sexually perverted tendencies. Following a series of disturbing events, Carol forms a friendship with an enigmatic older detective, Lieutenant Sharpe (Peter Coyote), who becomes increasingly entangled in her life, despite being married.
