The Rack Pack

The 2016 BBC film "The Rack Pack" is a comedy-drama about the intense rivalry between Alex Higgins and Steve Davis during the 1970s to 1980s snooker era. The film follows two very different personalities who helped popularize the sport on TV, with Luke Treadaway starring as Alex Higgins and Will Merrick playing Steve Davis. Directed by Brian Welsh, the movie expertly conveys the era's excesses through gentle humor, while also giving depth to the character of Davis, played by Merrick.
