Billy Two Hats

Billy Two Hats is a 1974 American Western film directed by Ted Kotcheff and starring Gregory Peck as grizzled Scottish outlaw Arch Deans and Desi Arnaz Jr. as Billy Two Hats, his young Kiowa half-breed partner. The two evade capture by vengeful racist Sheriff Henry Gifford (Jack Warden) after a bank robbery goes awry, and along the way, Billy develops romantic feelings for Esther Spencer (Sian Barbara Allen), a mail-order bride from the East who is unhappy in her abusive marriage. As they face various dangers on the trail, Billy's resourcefulness and compassion ultimately lead to the demise of their pursuer, allowing him and Billy to find love and escape together.
