Hail Caesar

Julius Caesar McGruder (Anthony Michael Hall) is a would-be rock star who makes a bet with his girlfriend's father to be able to continue dating her. Julius tells Buffer that he can’t make it to her party due to practice with his band but is persuaded by her to go, where she offers him money to stay away from her daughter if he fails to meet the $100,000 challenge within six months. The stakes are high for Julius as he tries to navigate his music career and romance with Buffer while working at a pencil eraser factory and dealing with shady record executives like Jerry (Robert Downey Jr.).
