In "Welcome to L.A.", Keith Carradine stars as a womanizing songwriter whose world of illusions is shattered by an eccentric housewife who fancies herself a modern-day Garbo. As he navigates his relationships with various women, including his wealthy father's mistress and a married housewife obsessed with Greta Garbo films, the boundaries between reality and fantasy become increasingly blurred. Set against the decadent backdrop of 1970s Hollywood, this film is a scathing critique of romantic despair and shallowness in the upper class.
