Dorian Gray

In 1970s London, Dorian Gray (Helmut Berger) stumbles away from Basil Hallward's corpse and towards a bathroom sink, his hands covered in Basil's blood. Decades earlier, Dorian drinks with Basil and Alan Campbell at a London strip club, later meeting Sybil Vane, whom he becomes infatuated with. As their romance blossoms, Dorian's desire for eternal youth leads him to make a Faustian bargain: he trades his soul for the portrait that will reflect his true age. Over several years, Dorian descends into excess and hedonism, while Basil, Henry Wotton, and Alan Campbell visibly age.
