Postmen in the Mountains

In the 1999 Chinese film "Postmen in the Mountains," an old postman (Teng Rujun) hands over his job to his son (Liu Ye), who accompanies him on their first tour as they deliver mail on a 230 li long walking route through rural Hunan. Alongside the dog, Buddy, they traverse into the heart of China, learning about each other and the community through interactions with villagers, including an evening festival featuring a lusheng dance.
