Nazarin

Padre Nazario, a priest living in a hostel, shows understanding and compassion to those like Beatriz, who has psychotic episodes and suicidal thoughts after being abandoned by her lover, Pinto. He helps a prostitute, Andara, who has murdered another prostitute and been wounded, without judging or withholding his help. As he is accused of insanity and disobedience, Father Nazario struggles with a crisis of faith, ultimately forgiving his attackers despite feeling scorned.
