The Time Guardian

In the distant future, humanity is on the brink of extinction when a new race of cyborg creatures threatens to wipe out all life. A group of survivors from this city travels through time and space in search of a new home, arriving in 1988 Australia to prepare a landing site. There, Ballard (Tom Burlinson), a grizzled soldier from the future, teams up with geologist Annie Lassiter (Nikki Coghill) to evade the cyborgs, while also facing an unexpected obstacle: his own past.
