Coming Home in the Dark

A school teacher is forced to confront a brutal act from his past when two ruthless drifters takes him and his family on a nightmare road trip through New Zealand. The film is a tense thriller that opens with a brutal sequence of violence, setting the tone for the rest of the film, as Hoaggie (Erik Thomson) and his wife Jill (Miriama McDowell), along with their teenage sons, are robbed and abducted by Mandrake (Daniel Gillies). As they journey through the country, Mandrake's true intentions come to light, revealing a dark connection to the teacher's troubled past.
