The Pianist

In 1939, Warsaw is invaded by Nazi Germany and Polish-Jewish pianist Władysław Szpilman finds himself forced into hiding as Jews are persecuted and his family is deported to the overcrowded Warsaw Ghetto. As he struggles to survive in a city torn apart by war and occupation, Szpilman becomes embroiled in the Polish resistance movement and plays a crucial role in the Warsaw Uprising. With his life hanging in the balance, Szpilman must confront the harsh realities of war, loss, and survival, all while holding on to his music and his humanity.
