The Place Beyond the Pines

A motorcycle stunt rider finds he has a son he never knew about and turns to robbing banks as a way to provide for both the child and his one time lover, setting him on collision course with an ambitious rookie cop. The film follows three linear stories: Luke Glanton, a motorcycle stunt rider who supports his ex-lover Romina Gutierrez and their newborn son through a life of crime; Avery Cross, an ambitious police officer who confronts his corrupt police department; and Jason and A.J., two troubled teenagers who explore the aftermath of Luke and Avery's actions fifteen years later.
