YMCA Baseball Team

In a time of turmoil, an unlikely group of Koreans finds solace in baseball, played at the YMCA hall under the watchful eyes of American Christian missionaries. The film tells the story of Yi Ho-chang's journey to discover and promote this new sport, as he falls for his female coach Min Jung-rim, and gathers a team of misfits to form the first Korean YMCA baseball team. As they compete against Japanese soldiers in a series of high-stakes games, the team faces not only the odds of their opponents but also the complexities of their own society, struggling to maintain unity amidst the turmoil of colonial occupation.
