The Quatermass Xperiment

An experimental rocket ship crashes back down to Earth, leaving only one of its three-man crew, Victor Carroon, alive but in a terrible state. Unable to speak and undergoing a mysterious physical and mental metamorphosis, Carroon's transformation sets off a chain of events as he escapes from custody and begins to wreak havoc on post-war London. Can Professor Bernard Quatermass, the rocket's creator, and Scotland Yard Inspector Lomax stop the alien creature from taking over the world?.
