The Railway Man

A victim from World War II's "Death Railway" sets out to find those responsible for his torture. Thirty years later, Lomax is still suffering the psychological trauma of his wartime experiences, though strongly supported by his wife, Patricia, whom he had met on one of his many train excursions. Before Lomax can act on this information, his best friend and fellow ex-POW Finlay commits suicide by hanging himself from a bridge. Out of guilt, Lomax confronts his former captor, Takashi Nagase, in an attempt to let go of a lifetime of bitterness and hate, leading to a poignant confrontation that ultimately brings forgiveness and redemption.
