Aileen Wuornos: American Boogeywoman

This 2021 horror thriller film tells the true story of Aileen Wuornos, America's most notorious female serial killer, who went on a killing spree in Florida in 1989 and 1990. In 1976, a young and beautiful Wuornos arrived in Florida searching for a new life, married a wealthy Yacht Club President, and had the chance to start again as part of Florida's high society, but her past ultimately caught up with her. The film is a fictionalized version of Wuornos' early life, based on some real facts from her biography.
