Maelstrom

A 25-year-old businesswoman named Bibiane Champagne has an abortion, claiming success in her life as the daughter of a famous person, while struggling with drugs and alcohol. She accidentally hits a Norwegian Canadian fishmonger, Annstein Karlsen, and flees the scene, leading to a series of events that ultimately brings her face-to-face with Evian, the son of the man she killed, played by Jean-Nicolas Verreault.
