In "Killing Eleanor," Natalie Grillo (Annika Marks) is convinced by her estranged mother, Eleanor Magnus (Jenny O'Hara), to help her end her life in a nursing home, trading clean urine for her daughter's assistance. As they embark on this road movie, they're joined by the rest of Eleanor's troubled family, including daughters Anya Grillo (Betsy Brandt) and Martina Grillo (Jane Kaczmarek). The film explores themes of drug addiction, terminal illness, family secrets, and assisted suicide, setting it apart from a typical road movie.
