A filmmaking couple, Chris and Tony Sanders, travel to Fårö, the island where Ingmar Bergman lived and worked, to attend a film screening. As they navigate their summer retreat, the lines between reality and fiction start to blur against the backdrop of the island's wild landscape. The couple's screenplays advance, but cracks begin to appear in their marriage as reality becomes increasingly intertwined with the films they're creating.
