Relative Strangers

Thirty-four-year-old psychologist Dr. Richard Clayton's (Ron Livingston) life is turned upside down when his uptight parents reveal he was adopted, and hilarity ensues as he meets his unconventional biological parents, Frank (Danny DeVito) and Agnes Menure (Kathy Bates), a crude but lovable lower-class carnival couple. Chaos erupts as Frank and Agnes descend upon Richard's home, disrupting his normal life and forcing him to confront his own snobbish tendencies. As Richard struggles to accept his new family dynamics, he must also navigate a wedding that will bring him face-to-face with the woman (Neve Campbell) who is about to become his step-sister.
