The Shawshank Redemption

Banker Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins), sentenced to two life sentences for murdering his wife and her lover, forms a friendship with fellow inmate Ellis "Red" Redding (Morgan Freeman) at Shawshank State Prison, where he uses his accounting skills to aid the warden in a money laundering operation. As the years pass, Andy's unwavering sense of hope and determination inspire those around him, including Red, who eventually comes to trust him and helps facilitate his escape from prison.
