Blind Beast is a 1969 Japanese erotic horror film directed by Yasuzo Masumura, based on a novel by Edogawa Rampo. Aki Shima, a fashion model known for her provocative photographs, attends a gallery exhibition where she witnesses a blind sculptor, Michio Sofu, touching a statue of her nude form with unsettling intensity. The blind sculptor kidnaps Aki from her apartment and imprisons her in his warehouse studio, a surreal space filled with large, disproportionate sculptures of female body parts. Their relationship becomes a complex psychological power struggle between captor and captive, leading to a violent confrontation that results in the death of Michio's mother.
