Ratcatcher

The film follows 12-year-old James Gillespie (William Eadie), who lives in a dilapidated Glasgow council estate with his family. Haunted by a secret, James creates a world of his own at the canal, where he finds an awkward tenderness with Margaret Anne (Leanne Mullen). As James navigates his harsh environment, he becomes involved with a local gang that bullies a vulnerable girl, and later finds comfort in his friendship with Kenny (John Miller), who possesses an unusual innocence.
