Sisters Apart

"Sisters Apart" follows Rojda (Almila Bağrıaçık), a Kurdish woman who enlists in the German army to find her place in society, as she reunites with her mother and discovers the truth about her missing sister Dilan, who was last seen in their native Iraq. While training with her unit to fight against ISIS, Rojda's journey forces her to confront her past and the complexities of identity, migration, and belonging in a world where home is constantly shifting.
