Lupin III vs. Detective Conan: The Movie

Conan Edogawa pursues Kaito Kid after he steals a fabulous diamond, but realizes it was just a test of his abilities; the real target is the Cherry Sapphire. As Conan investigates, he discovers that Lupin III, disguised as Inspector Koichi Zenigata's assistant Takagi, also retrieves the gem. The theft is linked to an Italian pop singer Emilio Baretti and his manager Claudia Belucci, who are using their concerts as a cover for illegal dealings with a Vespanian government agent named Alan Smithee. Lupin is hired by the Vespanian government to retrieve a rare piece of ore that enables the construction of ultimate stealth technology. The story unfolds as Conan and Lupin's friends work together to thwart Smithee, Carnevale, and their accomplices while also dealing with various side plots involving Baretti and his entourage.
