The Talented Mr. Ripley

Tom Ripley (Matt Damon), an American con artist, is sent to Italy by a wealthy U.S. shipbuilder to persuade his son Dickie Greenleaf (Jude Law) to return home. Tom becomes dangerously attached to Dickie and his lifestyle, leading him to commit a series of deceitful acts of duplicity, lies, and murder as he assumes Dickie's identity and navigates a complex web of relationships with Marge Sherwood (Gwyneth Paltrow), Meredith Logue (Cate Blanchett), and Freddie Miles (Philip Seymour Hoffman).
