Detroit 9000

Detroit 9000 is a 1973 American action film that teams street-smart white detective Danny Bassett (Alex Rocco) with educated black detective Sgt. Jesse Williams (Hari Rhodes) to investigate a $400,000 theft at a fundraiser for Representative Aubrey Hale Clayton. Filmed on location in downtown Detroit, the movie features a mix of police procedural and crime drama elements. The film's limited re-release in 1998 was championed by Quentin Tarantino, who also included a line from the film in his soundtrack for Jackie Brown.
