The Thin Blue Line

In 1976, Dallas police officer Robert Wood was shot and killed during a routine traffic stop, but one man would be arrested and sentenced to death for the crime: Randall Dale Adams. An investigation led by Errol Morris raises questions about Adams's guilt and the reliability of key witnesses, including a 16-year-old acquaintance who testified against him. Using stylized reenactments and interviews with key figures, conflicting testimonies and evidence are presented to argue that Adams was framed by a corrupt justice system, ultimately leading to his exoneration.
