Makino (Satoshi Tsumabuki) and Shima (Etsushi Toyokawa), a wisecracking Japanese and a yakuza Taiwanese respectively, team up to Hualien after Makino's life is threatened, with both trying to uncover the truth behind an incident that led Shima to leave his life in Japan.
