Carolina Mirabeau moves from her eccentric family in the countryside to Los Angeles for a life of normalcy, befriending author Albert Morris and struggling with love and relationships. As she navigates her new life, Carolina confides in Albert, who becomes a source of support and comfort, but their friendship is put to the test when she falls for another man, Heath Pierson.
