The film "Talking the Pictures" (2019) is set at a movie theater in a small village around 100 years ago. Silent films are being played at the theater. A young man aspires to become a benshi, a performer that provides live narration to silent films. The main character, Shuntaro Sometani, played by Ryo Narita, becomes an activity (benshi) and starts working at the theater.
