Scarlet Innocence

A university professor, Professor Hak-kyu (Jung Woo-sung), becomes entranced by an obsessive love for Deok-yi / Se-jung (Esom) after a chance encounter, leading to a tumultuous and erotic relationship that affects his life and the lives of those around him. As he struggles with loss of eyesight and personal demons, Deok-yi's presence continues to haunt him, ultimately revealing her true intentions and forcing Hak-kyu to confront his past and make amends. The film is a modern-day retelling of the classic Korean folktale Simcheongga.
