In this irreverent and action-packed comedy-drama, Jay Baruchel stars as Leon Bronstein, a charismatic 17-year-old high school student who's convinced he's the reincarnation of Soviet revolutionary Leon Trotsky. When his father sends him to public school, Leon quickly becomes the leader of a student union revolution, taking on the system and rallying his peers to join the fight. Meanwhile, he navigates romantic entanglements with an older woman whose life echoes that of Trotsky's love interests. With its witty humor and bold social commentary, "The Trotsky" is a wild ride that will leave you cheering for Leon's unlikely heroism.
