The United States of Leland

In this poignant and complex drama, a withdrawn teenage boy named Leland is imprisoned for the murder of a mentally disabled boy who happened to be his girlfriend Becky's brother. As Leland navigates the aftermath of his crime, he forms an unlikely bond with Pearl Madison, a teacher at the juvenile detention center who becomes determined to understand the motivations behind his actions.
