The Vault of Horror

Five strangers trapped in a basement vault converse about their recurring nightmares. The conversation turns to dreams, and each man tells of a recurring nightmare that ultimately reveals themselves to be terrifying real-life events. Each segment features a unique story from "Tales from the Crypt" comic series, including vampires, bodily dismemberment, east Indian mysticism, an insurance scam, and an artist who kills by painting his victims' deaths.
