The War Lord

In 11th-century Normandy, a knight (Charlton Heston) is sent to a village on the northern coast of France to finish and inhabit a castle-like fortress for defense against raiding Frisians from further up the coast. There, he becomes embroiled in a local romance with a peasant girl named Bronwyn, whose fate becomes increasingly entwined with his own.
