North West Frontier

In 1905 on the North West Frontier of British India, British Army Captain Scott (Kenneth More) is tasked with taking young Prince Kishan to safety after a Muslim uprising in his province. Accompanying them are American widow Mrs. Wyatt (Lauren Bacall), Hindu Maharajah's family, arms dealer Mr. Peters, British ex-pat Mr. Bridie, and Dutch journalist Mr. Peter van Leyden (Herbert Lom). The group escapes by an obsolete train as they are relentlessly pursued by Muslim rebels intent on assassinating the prince.
