When Brooke's boyfriend breaks up with her just before the holidays, she agrees to go home with Joel, a pretend boyfriend played by Matt Cohen. There, they integrate traditions of Hanukkah into Christmas celebrations in Whispering Pines, Pennsylvania, creating a cultural fusion.
