Red Mountain

In 1865, a Confederate captain named Capt. Brett Sherwood (Alan Ladd) drags an innocent gold prospecting couple, Lane Waldron and Chris (Lizabeth Scott), into trouble when he is accused of murder he committed. As they flee to Colorado, General William Quantrill (John Ireland) and his raiders are on the hunt for them, seeking revenge and plotting an ambush against the army. When Chris is taken captive by Quantrill's men, Lane and Brett must join forces to escape and bring down their pursuers, while Lane's loyalty to the Confederacy begins to waver under the pressure of his captivity.
