The Drudgery Train

Kanta Kitamachi (Mirai Moriyama) befriends Shoji Kusakabe (Kengo Kora), a provincial student who brings out the best in him. The two become confidants, with Kanta gaining confidence and self-assurance, especially in his pursuit of Yasuko Sakurai (Atsuko Maeda). After being fired from work, Kanta returns to his apartment to write a novel after getting into a fight and losing his job as a day laborer.
