In 1750, a disgraced preacher and his motley crew of followers embark on a perilous journey downriver, seeking refuge from their past in a remote forest. Haunted by supernatural forces and tormented by the spirits of French colonialists, the group faces not only external threats but also internal tensions as they try to survive and uncover the truth behind the valley that has become their sanctuary.
