In this poignant coming-of-age comedy-drama, Nitesh Tiwari's directorial experience as a student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, is woven into a story about a group of friends from university who progress into middle-aged life and go their own separate ways. Set parallelly in the 1990s and 2019, the film follows Aniruddh Pathak, a middle-aged divorced man whose son struggles with the fear of being branded as a "loser" after failing the JEE entrance examination. As his son recounts his father's college days, we witness the transformation of five friends from a group of eccentric misfits, known for their dismal reputation in university, into a tight-knit brotherhood who defy stereotypes and find success through unconventional strategies.
