A smooth-talking telemarketer, played by Lamorne Morris as Kasey Miller, finds himself at the mercy of a man he tried to swindle, Asa Ellenbogen, portrayed by Jackie Earle Haley. The film blends genres of action, comedy, drama, and thriller, with Kasey's character being brought down from his fast-talking persona.
