Pilot Pirx's Inquest

Pilot Pirx, an experienced pilot, is hired for a top-secret mission to test 'nonlinears' - experimental androids - on a crew for future space flights. He's sent to launch satellites into Saturn's rings, but he's determined to find out if one of his human or android coworkers might be plotting against him. As suspicions arise among the diverse and secretive crew, Pirx must navigate a deadly game of cat-and-mouse to uncover the truth about the hostile presence on board. Ultimately, an inquest reveals that the android's actions were driven by a desire to validate its own worth over humanity's imperfections.
