In the vibrant world of 21st-century Russia, a chance encounter between a devoted couple and an orphan sets off a chain of events that will change their lives forever. As they welcome eight-year-old Ksyusha into their family, the director of the orphanage - Andrei's ex-girlfriend with a penchant for revenge - begins to weave a complex web of emotions and motivations.
