Two American filmmakers embark on a perilous journey into the heart of Tibet's resistance against China's police state, navigating treacherous landscapes and secret surveillance as they attempt to document the lives of Tibetan activists risking everything for their cause. As their cameras become their only shield, they find themselves at the mercy of a cat-and-mouse game with the authorities, whose 24-hour monitoring puts them in grave danger - hotel break-ins, equipment theft, cyber-hacking, and cyber-spying all become part of their desperate struggle to stay one step ahead. With their lives hanging in the balance, they are forced to flee, abandoning their cameras and their quest for truth. The result is a chilling exposé of life on the edge of control.
