Johnny Corncob

"Johnny Corncob," a 1973 Hungarian animated adventure film directed by Marcell Jankovics, tells the story of a young man's journey as a soldier while longing to be reunited with his loved one. The film is based on the 1845 epic poem "János vitéz" by Sándor Petőfi and was commissioned by the Hungarian government for its 150th anniversary. Voice actor György Cserhalmi brings Jancsi, Johnny to life in this traditional Hungarian poetic fairytale of love, war, magic, and death.
