Dunkirk

This 1958 British war film depicts the Dunkirk evacuation of World War II, where a British Corporal takes charge of his men after their officer's death and must find a way to get them back to Britain, amidst the chaos of Operation Dynamo and the desperate struggle of Allied forces to escape. The film shows the personal journey of Dunkirk, from the soldiers caught behind the rapidly shifting battle lines to the civilians who risk everything to help with the evacuation, including the owners of motorboats that are commandeered by Vice-Admiral Ramsay to sail to Dunkirk.
